Insurance & Coverage
Confirm cover before booking
Insurance and liability requirements can vary by move, building and item type. Ask ZQ Removals to confirm the current cover details and provide any available documentation before you accept a quote.
Include any building-manager requirements, high-value items and protection questions in your enquiry so they can be reviewed as part of the move brief.
Public liability documentation
If a landlord, strata manager or commercial building requires public liability documentation, request it before booking. Confirm the policy status, limits, exclusions and named-party wording directly from the supplied document.
- Provide the building manager's exact document requirements.
- Confirm whether loading docks, lifts or common areas have special conditions.
- Do not assume a particular loss or item is covered until the current terms are confirmed.
Transit cover questions
Ask what transit cover, if any, applies to your move and request the current terms in writing. The answer may depend on the route, item type, packing responsibility and circumstances of a loss.
Before booking, clarify:
- whether owner-packed and mover-packed items are treated differently;
- which events, items and values are included or excluded; and
- how fragile, oversized or high-value items must be declared and prepared.
Strata & Building Manager Certificates
If you are moving in the Adelaide CBD, Glenelg, Norwood, or other high-density areas, building managers and strata companies frequently require a Certificate of Currency (CoC) before permitting a truck into the loading dock or booking the service lift.
If your building management requires proof of cover:
- Request the Certificate of Currency during your manual quote review.
- Provide the exact name and email address of the strata company or building manager.
- Confirm that the requested document can be supplied before finalising the booking.
Quote scoping and questions
List high-value items, specialised electronics and access constraints during the quoting phase. A moving quote describes the service scope; it should not be treated as proof that every item or event is insured.
For items of exceptional value, consider independent advice about whether separate cover is appropriate. Ask ZQ Removals for the current documentation needed to make that decision.
